The South Austin HEB – coming in 2022 - 2400 South Congress Ave

In Texas, we love our HEB grocery stores. So much so, that we’ll even tell you to visit one just for fun. Coming in 2022, this new store will replace Austin’s oldest to become a flagship location for the company. While you’re waiting, stop by any HEB you see if you’re looking for Texas themed food or really, Texas themed ANYTHING.

Donn’s Depot - 1600 West 5th Street

This little dive bar packs a lot of heart and character into a uniquely small space. If you want that weird Austin vibe, then Donn’s is the place you want to be.

The Pennybacker Bridge - Loop 360 Highway

More than just a bridge, the Pennybacker Bridge connects North and South Austin, crossing Lake Austin with a graceful arching design. Park and make your way up the bluff for spectacular views.

Barton Creek Mall –2901 South Capital of Texas Highway

The Austin area still has a few malls left, and Barton Creek Mall, situated just Southwest of downtown is one of them. It offers a full-scale mall experience and it’s a great place to escape the searing Texas heat for a few hours.
